Horizontal Indexing Trunnion

Royal multiple fixtures can be mounted on each of the four sides allowing machining access to three sides of the work piece.

The trunnion may be manually or automatically indexed by the machine control. Hydraulic clamping can be built into the workholding system.

Virtually all types of vertical machining centers can accommodate the horizontal indexing trunnion.

NOTE:

  1. Maximum of 4 chucks per side on the trunnion maniford as shown
  2. Overall length subject to change for 2 or 3 chuck assemblies, or to suit customer.
  3. Chucks may be mounted on a tombstone column for use on a horizontal machining center.
  4. Tooling clearance may be increased by adding spacers as shown if machine clearance permits.
