Royal
custom designs and builds multiple spindle drilling and tapping heads
for use on tool rotating and work rotating machines. Royal drillheads
can be supplied with or without bushing plates and with multiple RPM
output. In addition, these heads are designed for all manual and CNC
horizontal and vertical machining centers and lathes.
For drilling and milling operations, we also manufacture standard and
special right angle heads with precision bevel gears. The heads can
be provided with radial adjustment to accommodate different part configurations.
For lathe operations, Royal can provide drillheads or tapheads to mount
in the turret or tailstock. The head will have a bushing plate with
lugs to latch to the jaws on the chuck. The head then rotates with the
chuck and the spindles are rotated through planetary gears.
The machine then feeds the head into drill or tap the part in the chuck.
